Tom Parker’s wife Kelsey issues stark warning about headache after brain tumor
Kelsey, Tom Parker’s wife, has warned people to take headaches seriously after her husband is diagnosed with a brain tumor.
The Wanted Tom star was diagnosed with terminal cancer which he made public in October last year, just weeks before he became a dad for the second time.
It’s been just over six months since the singer learned he had fourth-year glioblastoma.
Speaking, his wife Kelsey stressed the importance of educating people to recognize symptoms.
Mom listed the catalog of symptoms: a throbbing headache, seizures, or any physical changes, including lumps or lumps.
She said Closer magazine: “So markers like this are important in educating people and encouraging themselves to get checked out if they are suffering from throbbing headaches, seizures or finding physical changes such as lumps and lumps. . ”
Tom got checked out after having a seizure in July and is now undergoing treatment for his brain cancer.
The singer has undergone cycles of chemotherapy and radiation therapy which his wife says have “been successful so far.”
Tom and Kelsey raised two children Aurelia, one, and Bodhi, who was born two weeks after his father was diagnosed.
They plan to have a camping vacation in the summer, which will mark their first trip as a family of four.
She added: “A ray of light that keeps us going right now is the idea of summer – we have booked a camping vacation, which we are all looking forward to.
“This will be our first vacation with a family of four.”
Previously, Tom has gushed over his wife for being his “rock” when doctors delivered his devastating diagnosis.
He said OKAY! magazine : “She’s been amazing. She’s my cornerstone. She’s been so handy about everything. Our friends and family have been amazing too.”
Kelsey admitted that she was crying in private because she needed to be strong for her husband.
She added: “This has been the worst news possible. I cry, but I don’t do it in front of Tom, I need to be strong for him and positivity is the best medicine right now.
“Aurelia has been a brilliant distraction in that sense.”
