Rupert Grint reportedly filmed “Cabinet of Curiosities” in Toronto
According to local information, Harry potterRupert Grint was recently spotted in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) in Canada, and it looks like he could shoot a new Netflix series there. Although Rupert has not been confirmed by official sources as part of the cast of Guillermo del Toro Cabinet of curiosities, he was photographed filming in Hamilton, Ont., and is said to be attached to the project.
A report of Variety in September noted that no shortage of actors had been added to the cast of Cabinet of curiosities. Rupert, however, was not among them. The series is described as being largely del Toro’s own creation.
The prolific Mexican Academy Award-winning filmmaker behind ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’, ‘Hellboy’, ‘The Shape of Water’ and ‘Pacific Rim’ will produce, co-present and direct the series – described as an unprecedented curation of eight and grim, genre-defining tales meant to challenge traditional notions of horror, ranging from macabre to magical, Gothic to grotesque or creepy classic. Two of the eight tales are original works by del Toro.
Additionally, del Toro wrote a book with Marc Zicree titled Cabinet of curiosities Guillermo del Toro: my notebooks, collections and other obsessions, published by Harpist design.
While we don’t know Rupert’s role on the show, we do know that he was spotted at Lamanna’s Bakery, known for their baked goods and huge slices of pizza, in Scarborough. blogTo included an Instagram post from the bakery, where Rupert posed for a photo.
We hope Rupert enjoyed his pizza and donuts, but we are more eager to hear the latest news on Cabinet of curiosities. Who do you think will play in the anthology series? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
