Jorge Mendes circling as Man Utd prepares to answer Edinson Cavani’s question
Agent Jorge Mendes is ready to offer Manchester United a striker valued at £ 30million to replace Edinson Cavani amid uncertainty over the Uruguayan’s future.
Cavani moved to Old Trafford on a free transfer last summer and signed a one-year contract with the club, with the option of extending for another season.
He has since established himself as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s favorite center-forward, edging out Anthony Martial in under Premier League minutes.
But United are yet to extend the 34-year-old’s contract for another season and, as it stands, he will be leaving this summer.
Mendes is keeping a close eye on Cavani’s situation as he prepares to offer one of his clients to the Red Devils.
It depends The sun , who claims Eintracht Frankfurt star Andre Silva is the man supposed to move on to Premier League giants.
Silva has been in electric form for the Bundesliga side this season, plundering 18 goals in 20 games to send his club back to fourth place in the table.
The report adds that Eintracht may be willing to part ways with the Portugal international as they aim to bring Luka Jovic back from Real Madrid.
Should United extend Cavani’s contract or sign Silva? Have your say in the comments.
Jovic joined Los Blancos for £ 51million in 2019 but failed to make an impression in Spain and has since returned on loan to Eintracht, who would like to make the move permanent.
For United, that means Silva – one of Germany’s most prolific snipers – could be available this summer.
As concerns about Cavani’s age and fitness persist, United are set to pass as a striker this summer.

Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland is a long-term target, but the Red Devils will face stiff competition to sign the Norwegian.
It can also cost at least £ 80million to sign the 20-year-old this summer, while Silva could be available for less than half that amount.
Agent Mendes – who represents many Portuguese players in the Premier League – is expected to continue offering Silva to United as long as the uncertainty surrounding Cavani’s situation persists.
