Grapevine star Adam Perkins has died: Chile video star dies aged 24
Grapevine star Adam Perkins has died aged 24, his twin brother has confirmed.
The twin brother of social media figures Patrick said his brother Adam – best known for his viral video Welcome to Chile – passed away on April 11 with an Instagram post.
The cause of Adam’s death had not been revealed.
Patrick uploaded a photo of himself and his twin and wrote a touching tribute to the photo-sharing site in which he said he was “struggling” and unable to “put words to it. the meaning of the loss ”.
He typed in, “My brother, Adam Perkins, passed away last Sunday, 4-11-21.
“I can’t even really put into words what this loss means to me. I’m often asked the question, ‘How does it feel to be a twin? “and my response is usually,” How does it feel NOT to be a twin? “”
He continued, “Being a twin is a very central part of my identity. It’s all I’ve known. And I’m struggling to find the words to explain what it will be like for me to live in this world. without him. My best friend. ”
Patrick added that he was planning to release his brother’s album in his memory as he explained: “In his honor, I will be releasing his album” Latch Relay “on a limited edition vinyl. The social media star ended the post with, “I love you, my best friend Adam. 1997-forever.”
Patrick also took to his Instagram Stories to write, “In this time of mourning, I take heart to how many people he has touched. The nicest human I know.”
Several Patrick supporters took advantage of the comment to send him their condolences.
One of them typed: “Incredibly tragic. Sorry for your indescribable loss.”
A second and a third added: “my heart is broken for you, you both had an influence on my art” and “I am so sorry for your loss in sending love”.

Adam rose to social media fame in 2015 when a video he made for Vine went viral.
In the clip, Adam mocked the slogan of American take-out Chile restaurants as he walked into a bathroom in his boxers saying “Hi, welcome to Chile.”
The Vine has won over 20 million loops.
When Vine closed in 2016, Adam joined Tik Tok and had over 19,000 followers.
