Alexandra Mardell of Corrie celebrates her fiancee with boyfriend Joe Parker
Coronation Street star Alexandra Mardell is engaged to boyfriend Joe Parker.
The actress, who plays Emma Brooker on the ITV soap opera, broke the good news on social media Monday night when she revealed she was ‘locked in’ after Joe got down on her knees.
The 27-year-old TV star showcased her sparkling square engagement ring in a series of cheerful snaps that saw the couple glow after the special moment.
Along with the snaps, Alexandra wrote: “Love locked !!
“1,000,000 times yes! You make me so happy, my face hurts! I love you ridiculously. Future Mrs. Parker.
Alexandra’s beloved new fiancé also took to Instagram to share the happy news with friends and family.
In a gushing message, he said he was a ‘lucky man’ to spend the rest of his life with the amazing soap star.
“I went on lockdown with a girlfriend, I went out with a fiancee,” he wrote lovingly.
“What a lucky man I am. Can’t wait to marry you @alexandramardell I love you. ”
The lovebirds first met when they were students, but remained friends for up to two years after graduation when they finally made things official.
They took the next step in their relationship in January 2020 when they made the decision to move in together – unaware the world was on the verge of plunging into a pandemic two months later.
